What is time? When we were little, we were taught by our parents that there are 365 days a year. There is a sense of time separation or interval. However, in reality, there is only "time" in the universe, but no "interval", and we can actually feel "time" through various perceptions. What does that mean? During the tour, the guide provided two bottles of vinegar; one is five years old and the other is ten years old. Without knowing the difference between them, we can use our sense of smell to tell which one is five years old. However, what we do not know is that the one with a strong vinegar taste is the younger vinegar. After learning the concept of time as described by the guide, it really blew my mind since I had never thought about this topic before, triggering my alternative thinking.

Morning tour: ATOP Time Art Pavilion, the tour that will revolutionize your thinking. In the afternoon, we visited Sanxia to experience the plant-based indigo dyeing and made a unique handkerchief for ourselves. The indigo dyeing technique was quite complicated. After explaining the various dyeing techniques by the instructor, we forgot immediately. We watched the instructor kneading a handkerchief with his five fingers and said “you can now take the handkerchief and soak it in the dye! Just when I am about to understand what that means, he just completed his work. Everyone was kind of confused, thinking about how to make something that looks like the example? As the work started to complete one after another, the students were surprised and proud of their own work.

The journey is about to come to an end. We accompanied the students to walk in Sanxia Old Street, visit ancient temples, and play with traditional toys. "Students, if you want to buy something next time, remember to bring your money and do not borrow the money from the volunteers again!”, said the teacher. Whether you are a volunteer or a child, the most precious time is the feeling of companionship and mutual caring! The journey ended successfully, with laughter, knowledge, and love.
