Novatek Technology donated NT$1.37 million in injection and personal protective equipment to the Hsinchu County Government today (August 5th). This affirms the county government’s efforts and success in pandemic-fighting, allowing enterprise to continue operating without worry. Novatek’s performance has bucked the pandemic trend by continuing to grow. Yang Wen-ke, Hsinchu County Magistrate, issued a certificate of appreciation to Novatek, emphasizing that the pandemic-fighting supplies would enormously boost Hsinchu County’s pandemic-fighting capabilities.

David Chen, Novatek Vice President and Spokesperson, said that front-line pandemic-fighting personnel and staff in health and emergency services are protecting the wellbeing of the public during the pandemic; it is only with their firm backing that enterprise can strive for economic growth without worry. In view of the ongoing demand for vaccine injection syringes and personal protective equipment, and after inquiring with the Hsinchu County Public Health Bureau, Novatek voluntarily purchased pandemic-fighting supplies and donated them to the Hsinchu County Government in the spirit of giving back to society.

Yin Tung-cheng, Health Bureau Director General, stated that Novatek had donated 19,200 3-cc empty syringes; 60,400 3-cc empty syringes with needles; 50,000 needles; 50,000 alcohol swabs; 2,000 sets of level-C protective clothing; 3000 waterproof medical isolation gowns; and 5,000 N95 masks. These pandemic-fighting supplies are very useful to medical personnel and pandemic-fighting staff who administer vaccines. The supplies will be distributed to the front line as soon as possible, to keep them worry-free, and in hopes that with joint efforts from all walks of life, the pandemic will be over soon.
