Novatek Foundation Collaborates with Yunlin Erlun Story House to Cultivate “Young Storytellers”
Promote Reading in Rural Areas
Novatek Foundation collaborates with Yunlin Storyhouse and Erlun Story House to cultivate “young storytellers,” hoping the seeds of reading in rural areas continue to grow.
Yunlin Erlun Story House has been ongoing for nine years. Each semester, the Story House staff visit Erlun Junior High School every Thursday afternoon to promote reading. The Story House has also collaborated with the school to set up a “Storyteller Club” and courses are organized by senior volunteers from the Yunlin Storyteller Association. Through picture books and novels, they work with students aged 12-13 to do story reading, story extension writing, and story theater activities, cultivating their logical thinking, verbal expression and storytelling skills. The students are then invited to tell their stories in the Erlun Story House.
The new semester started in September, and half of the students already voluntarily joined the “Storyteller Club” again, allowing the training of storytelling talents to gradually take root, further strengthening and passing on local culture!
