In 2023, with the post-pandemic era beginning, Novatek is expanding its recruitment efforts. In addition to its continuous presence at campus job fairs and in-person events in March to attract talented individuals, Novatek recruited 67 summer interns this year. These interns come from a wide array of academic backgrounds, including analog IC design, digital IC design, algorithm development, software/hardware development, and physical process design. During the two-month internship period, Novatek organized a series of technical and career development lectures and seminars. This allowed students to not only enhance their expertise in their respective fields, but also to explore multidisciplinary opportunities, adding more possibilities for their future careers.

The speakers for the technical lectures were all senior managers within Novatek, all with years of experience in display driver IC and SoC product lines. In addition to imparting expert knowledge and practical project experiences, the lectures were designed to be informative and accessible, helping students to closely integrate theory with real-world applications. We also arranged career development seminars, featuring senior interviewers and HR managers who shared their insights. These sessions extracted the essence of how to interview, and offered advice on resume writing details, preparation strategies, and interview techniques. All of this enhanced students’ competitiveness.

To concurrently build soft skills, during the internship period, students were given small-group assignments to get to know each other and explore together different parts of Novatek’s campus and culture. This enhanced group cohesiveness. During the closing ceremony, the groups presented their outstanding internship achievements and shared their experiences at Novatek. This showcased their communication skills, innovative thinking, and other key competencies.
 

In recent years, Novatek has been consistently expanding our research and development (R&D) capabilities, and actively engaging with the academic community to enhance technical expertise. To align with academia and expand the talent pool, Novatek has prioritized recruiting exceptional students to the summer internship program. In this initiative, Novatek has also introduced a pre-hiring system, enabling 80% of graduating interns to secure full-time, post-graduation positions. Novatek aims to continue growth in operational performance and maintain commitment to collaboration with the academic sector. The company is strengthening efforts to attract promising talents, while nurturing a pool of potential candidates within its R&D team, thereby charting a course to achieving new peaks.
