Novatek employees have donated to the "Novatek Social Caring Fund" for four consecutive years, supporting the Taipei Parents' Association for the Visually Impaired. To date, a total of 1.526 million TWD has been donated, bringing a glimmer of happiness to the visually impaired.
In 2020, "Novatek Social Caring Fund" project team volunteers visited the Taipei Parents' Association for the Visually Impaired in person. They learned about the many inconveniences faced by those with low vision and severe visual impairments in daily life, as well as the educational needs of visually impaired children. After assessment, it was decided to donate visual aids, create tactile teaching materials, and sponsor books for the Cloud Thousand Eyes platform, helping visually impaired individuals enhance their knowledge and gradually grow. By enriching the resources of aids, enabling auditory and tactile reading, and expanding reading opportunities, they can affirm themselves, unlock a brighter vision for the visually impaired, and allow visually impaired individuals of different ages to have the same freedom of reading choice as sighted people.
In today's inclusive education environment, on the path to promoting barrier-free reading, Novatek employees donate to the "Novatek Social Caring Fund" with the philosophy of "gathering small contributions from many to do great public welfare deeds". This trickle of support helps needy public welfare groups, thereby assisting vulnerable groups to receive better care, making philanthropy a part of the company culture. With love and empathy, narrowing the resource gap between the sighted and the blind, technology has an "Eye", and the visually impaired walk towards the light, no longer just a dream.
