Novatek Microelectronics Corp. has long prioritized biodiversity conservation and continues to work with government agencies to promote environmental education and forest maintenance. Since 2007, Novatek has sponsored trail maintenance in Yushan National Park for 19 consecutive years, and in early October was honored by the Ministry of the Interior’s National Park Administration with the “Team — Friends of the National Park SDGs” recognition. Since 2022, Novatek has also partnered with the Society of Wilderness for four consecutive years to implement a “Rural Students’ Nature Environmental Education Experience Program” at elementary schools in remote areas of Hsinchu County. The program integrates corporate employee volunteers who serve as education volunteers in rural schools to jointly promote environmental education. Through nature-based play and hands-on activities, the program guides rural students to explore ecology and fosters their emotional connection to the land. Recently, Novatek was invited to attend the results presentation press conference for the “Nature-based Carbon Sequestration and Biodiversity Project Matching Platform,” hosted by the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, where Novatek’s long-term commitment and concrete actions in biodiversity and environmental education were recognized.

Novatek issued a biodiversity declaration in 2024. Protecting biodiversity is our long-term commitment to the environment and society. Novatek will continue to collaborate with government agencies and local partners, safeguarding natural resources and passing on a healthy ecological environment to future global citizens through concrete actions and the promotion of environmental education.
