Novatek "ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory" for Scopes 1, 2, and 3 Passes Third-Party Verification

Sharing Result

Novatek following the ISO 14064-1:2018 guidelines, has begun conducting greenhouse gas inventories since 2022, expanding the scope of greenhouse gas inventory. In addition to assessing direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heating, and cooling (Scope 2), the company has also proactively identified key factors contributing to climate change. It has independently carried out an inventory of other indirect emission sources within all its facilities in Taiwan for Scope 3 (Categories 3-6), extending carbon management and emission hotspots to its value chain partners (customers and suppliers).

Starting in 2023, Novatek has gradually expanded the scope of its greenhouse gas inventory and quantitative management to its subsidiaries in Suzhou and Xi'an. By monitoring and controlling the greenhouse gas emissions at each location, the company continues to assess and set goals for energy conservation and carbon reduction. The Suzhou and Xi'an subsidiaries, along with the Taiwanese facilities, have completed third-party verification by an impartial entity in February and April 2024, respectively. The results of the inventory can be found in the "ISO 14064-1:2018 Greenhouse Gas Inventory Verification Statements" provided below.
