Novatek's Cross-Domain Collaboration: Long-Term Commitment to the Conservation and Sustainable Management of Taiwan's High Mountain Forest Ecosystem
Public Welfare Donations
Since 2001, the Yushan National Park Management Office under the Ministry of the Interior's National Park Service has been promoting a trail adoption system within the park. Under this system, corporations and civil organizations can contribute funds or volunteer efforts, thereby participating in two types of adoption: financial contributions and operational assistance. This collaborative effort aims to maintain trail facilities, ensure environmental cleanliness, and enhance hiking safety.
Beginning in 2007, Novatek Microelectronics Corp. has annually donated NT$500,000 to the maintenance of Yushan trails. These funds are used for the upkeep of trail facilities, environmental cleaning, and the promotion of hiking safety. Additionally, Novatek has participated in public welfare activities such as ecological conservation advocacy and environmental education. By 2023, these efforts have collectively safeguarded the hiking experiences of 683,996 visitors from around the world.
In 2024, we continue our commitment to trail adoption, devoting our efforts to protect these invaluable assets and ensure sustainable environmental conservation. Our cumulative donations have reached NT$9 million.
