Novatek Volunteers Accompany Visually Impaired Students in a Taichung Dajia Agricultural and Culinary Tour & Taro DIY Experience
Volunteer Service
Volunteer: Peng Qianwei
Last weekend, I participated in a volunteer activity for visually impaired students organized by the company's foundation. Initially, I was worried about how to assist them in completing the day's activities. Fortunately, the pre-event briefing for volunteers and the experienced team leaders helped put my mind at ease.
We visited the Li Anni Sunflower Farm in Dajia, Taichung, where we guided the visually impaired students through experiences such as kiln cooking, harvesting taro in the fields, and making sweet potato and taro balls. Due to their visual impairments, they rely heavily on their hearing and touch to perceive the world around them, which left me genuinely impressed by their courage and intelligence.
This volunteer activity not only provided me with valuable insights but also taught me to cherish every beautiful moment in life. I look forward to having more opportunities like this in the future to participate together.
