Novatek Microelectronics Receives the “Gold Award” in Taoyuan Sheltered Workshop Product Procurement Competition, Promoting Stable Employment for People with Disabilities

The Taoyuan City Government recently hosted the “2024 Early Summer in Taoyuan・Sheltered Together” campaign to encourage enterprises and organizations to procure products from Taoyuan’s sheltered workshops. In a recent public recognition event, the city government expressed appreciation to 11 public sector institutions and 30 enterprises for their substantial purchases of sheltered workshop products and services. Among them, Novatek Microelectronics was awarded the highest honor—the “Gold Award”—in recognition of its long-term dedication to social inclusion and the practice of corporate sustainability.
In 2024, Novatek Microelectronics organized a series of public welfare activities named “Yong Ai Around Taiwan anniversary Celebration.” As part of these initiatives, the company selected and purchased dried fruit products from the local “Gleam Sheltered Workshop Grocery Store” in Taoyuan, presenting these as gifts to employees. The procurement exceeded one thousand boxes, with total spending approaching NT$1 million. This initiative has played a substantial role in stabilizing the sheltered employment market for people with disabilities, helping disadvantaged groups to secure consistent work and income sources.
This charitable action is not only a demonstration of corporate goodwill, but also a concrete implementation of social responsibility and the strengthening of corporate sustainability. By integrating corporate actions with philanthropic efforts, Novatek has amplified its positive impact on society and realized the vision of sustainability with compassion, continuously injecting goodwill into the community.
