Sports Promotion
Exciting news from the 2025 Rhine-Ruhr Universiade in Germany! Kuo Tzu-Ying, an athlete from the Fuli Archery Team, which has been nurtured and sponsored by the Novatek Foundation over the long term, represented Taiwan and demonstrated outstanding strength in the women’s recurve team event, securing a silver medal. This remarkable achievement is not only a milestone in Taiwan’s sports development but also a concrete example of Novatek’s steadfast commitment to promoting sports as part of its ESG and sustainable development efforts.
Since 2007, Novatek has invested resources over 19 consecutive years to sponsor the Fuli Archery Team, with a continued focus on supporting youth sports development and providing fair opportunities for competition in rural areas. By channeling resources into sports training for rural schools and supporting participation in international competitions, Novatek empowers athletes to concentrate on training and realize their full potential, thereby elevating the overall standard of archery in Taiwan. Notably, Taiwan previously won a gold medal in the women’s recurve team archery event at the 2015 Gwangju Universiade. Coincidentally, this year’s women’s team coach, Lin Shih-Chia, was a member of that gold medal-winning team and has served as a long-term coach for the Fuli Archery Team, continuously passing on her invaluable experience to the next generation of athletes.
The Novatek Foundation will continue to uphold the principles of sustainable development, collaborating with all sectors of society to promote sports and public welfare in rural communities, and supporting even more young Taiwanese athletes to shine on the international stage. The outstanding performance of Kuo Tzu-Ying has filled the Novatek Foundation with pride, and we look forward to seeing more Taiwanese athletes achieve great results around the world in the future.
