Novatek Promotes “A New Journey for Old Books”: Caring for Slow-Flying Angels and Implementing Circular Economy

Support for the Disadvantaged

To extend the value of reading and give idle books a new journey, Novatek Microelectronics is committed to implementing the principles of the circular economy. In collaboration with Ai-Heng Developmental Center in Hsinchu City, Novatek organized a book donation campaign, encouraging employees to donate books they no longer read. The donated books were given to the sheltered second-hand bookstore at the center, which serves children with developmental delays (“slow-flying angels”).

Within eight days, the campaign spanned five offices across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, successfully collecting 2,200 books. Through this initiative, employees could easily participate in public welfare activities as part of their daily lives.

As a token of appreciation for participating employees, Novatek purchased charity coffee packs produced by the sheltered workshop, thus promoting employment opportunities for people with disabilities and supporting their self-reliance. This initiative further expands the company’s social impact. This event once again demonstrates Novatek and its employees’ active and wholehearted participation in social welfare activities, bringing greater hope to the lives of slow-flying angels.
