Today’s first stop was the Taiwan Toy Museum. Seeing these vintage toys that exist now only in memory was truly nostalgic. Watching the children play felt like stepping back into an era without smartphones or tablets — a time when after-school hours were always spent this way. I couldn’t name many of the toys, yet my hands remembered how to use them. Allowing the children to experience the simple joys of that generation was a very well-chosen activity.
Next, we visited the Indian Leather Creative Workshop. Leather has long been a cultural-creative product that interests me, but I rarely have the chance to see its creative process. Seeing the tools and instructional materials honestly made me want to buy a kit and learn. In a life saturated with technological products, opportunities to engage with handicrafts are scarce, so I really appreciated this stop.
Throughout the trip, the children had fun, and the adults were exposed to things they wouldn’t normally encounter — it felt great.
