The company’s feature story, titled “When Classrooms Light Up at Night: Novatek’s Long-Term Commitment to Supporting Underprivileged Students,” highlights its steadfast 16-year commitment to advancing educational support for disadvantaged children.
Summary of the Feature
Novatek has long been dedicated to caring for vulnerable communities and supporting education. The company continues to sponsor the “Night Light Angel After-School Tutoring Program,” which provides underprivileged students in rural schools in Hsinchu County with consistent after-school learning opportunities and essential life support.
Since its launch in 2010, the program has focused on children facing economic hardship, those raised in skip-generation families, and those lacking sufficient parental companionship. It offers academic tutoring, dinner provision, and emotional support, helping to reduce learning disparities while enhancing students’ sense of safety and well-being.
Through financial contributions and resource integration, Novatek supports schools in improving meal services and learning environments, enabling educators to better focus on student needs and foster a safe, supportive atmosphere for learning. In 2025, the company invested approximately NTD 860,000 to support after-school care programs for disadvantaged students in Hsinchu County and Taitung County, benefiting 59 students and reaching a total of 8,711 service instances. Over the past 16 years, Novatek’s cumulative investment has exceeded NTD 11.7 million, supporting more than 580 students.
