Novatek Volunteers Accompany Orphanage Children for Indigo Dyeing and the Railway Bicycle Experience
Volunteer Service
|
Volunteer: Lin, Zhengcheng
The volunteer activity this time mainly involved hands-on indigo dyeing and an experience on the High Mountain train ride. It wasn’t just the children — even I learned for the first time that Taiwan has such a rare low-carbon electric train.
The first-grade girl I accompanied was particularly lively and strong-willed; she had boundless energy and constantly ran around, wanting to do many things by herself. Yet every time we needed to move from one place to another, she would come back and take my hand as we walked together — it felt as if I suddenly had a daughter.
Having participated in volunteer service several times so far, I feel it’s not only about bringing children to unfamiliar places to experience new things; I have also gained a great deal of energy and personal reward from the experience. I hope I can continue to do everything I can so that the children return with happy memories.
