Novatek Achieves ISO 26262 ASIL B Compliant Product Certification from SGS, Marking a New Milestone in Automotive Functional Safety

Novatek Microelectronics Corp., a globally recognized IC design company, has recently been certified by SGS and awarded the ISO 26262 ASIL B Compliant Product Certification. This achievement underscores Novatek’s leadership in automotive Timing Controllers/Bridges (TCON/Bridge) and Touch and Display Driver Integration (TDDI) solutions. The certification signifies that Novatek meets the stringent Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL B) requirements in automotive electronics development and functional safety management, marking a critical step forward in delivering safe and reliable automotive solutions.

With the rapid evolution of in-vehicle infotainment systems, increasing display sizes, and the growing demand for integrated display and touch functionalities, automotive electronics systems are becoming increasingly complex. ISO 26262 and ASIL classifications provide a robust functional safety framework, covering the entire product lifecycle and ensuring verifiable safety assurance.

 

Novatek’s automotive TCON/Bridge chips have successfully obtained ISO 26262 ASIL B Compliant Product Certification, while its automotive TDDI solutions have been certified as ASIL B Ready. These certifications demonstrate that Novatek’s product development and quality management systems are aligned with international functional safety standards, providing the global automotive semiconductor market with highly reliable solutions.

 

At the award ceremony, Mr. Lee Yen-Hsien, Director of Novatek’s Automotive Product Division, stated: “We are honored to receive the ISO 26262 ASIL B certification from SGS.
