Novatek Microelectronics recently received the Silver Award for Procurement Contribution at the 2nd TOPS Taipei Procurement Excellence Awards, with the honor presented personally by the Mayor of Taipei.
With sustainable procurement at its core, Novatek selected a B Corp-certified sustainable product, the MiiR Nordic Design Insulated Bottle, as employee birthday gifts in 2025. This initiative transforms employee benefits into tangible ESG actions, integrating environmental stewardship, social value creation, and design aesthetics.
Adopting a co-prosperity model with startups, the company allocated an annual welfare budget of NTD 2.6 million to support sustainable initiatives, establishing a stable and replicable procurement collaboration framework. This demonstrates how corporate purchasing power can be effectively translated into measurable social impact.
The project was implemented through a dual approach:
By actively supporting local startups and strengthening its commitment to sustainable procurement, Novatek continues to foster a win-win ecosystem that balances corporate growth, social well-being, and environmental sustainability. The company further transforms routine procurement budgets into a “sustainability empowerment program,” making plastic reduction and sustainable practices accessible in everyday life.
