NOVATEK listed as constituent stock in Taiwan Sustainability Index for the fourth year running
Sustainability
In addition to the company’s outstanding business performance, NOVATEK is also dedicated to continuous promotion of ESG sustainable operations. NOVATEK was recently notified by the Taiwan Index Plus Corporation that the company has been listed as a constituent stock in the Taiwan Sustainability Index for the fourth year running.
FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Novatek has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell and partnered with Taiwan Index Plus (TIP) Corporation, the FTSE4Good TIP Taiwan ESG Index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.
The Taiwanese stocks that are constituents of the FTSE4Good emerging market index are qualified via preliminary review for the Taiwan Sustainability Index. After eliminating those companies that fail to compose or declare sustainability reports, the constituent stocks are then determined via screening of financial indexes. This commends the overall performance of Taiwanese companies that have implemented their sustainable development responsibilities and which comply with the index rules.
NOVATEK hopes to push sustainable development forward with a more aggressive attitude, continue to pay attention to development trends in international standards, improve its sustainability strategies and objectives, and fulfill the company’s corporate responsibility for sustainable development via real action.
