Novatek Committed to Environmental Sustainability: Continues Adoption of Hsinchu Air Quality Purification Area "Horizon by the Sea"

Novatek has long been dedicated to adopting park green spaces, maintaining public recreational areas for the community. This includes 18 consecutive years since 2007 of adopting the Yushan National Park trail maintenance and from 2022, a three-year commitment to the Hsinchu City Air Quality Purification Area "Horizon by the Sea" scenic area, recently acknowledged by the Hsinchu City Government Environmental Protection Bureau.
"Horizon by the Sea" is located along the Hsinchu coastline, covering an area of approximately one hectare. For three consecutive years, Novatek has organized corporate volunteers to regularly conduct environmental cleaning and maintenance at the scenic area, focusing on plant care, regular weeding, and has even voluntarily expanded the scope of maintenance adoption. By leveraging corporate resources, they contribute to environmental conservation efforts.
Currently, there are 69 plants within the "Horizon by the Sea" area, including Terminalia catappa, Araucaria heterophylla, and large green spaces. The carbon sequestration amounts to 4.237 metric tons, with an annual natural purification capacity of 6.007 metric tons of carbon dioxide, enhancing air purification and safeguarding air quality. The area also provides the public with leisure, ecological education, and sustainable resource utilization. Through the joint efforts of the company and corporate volunteers, Novatek once again demonstrates its commitment to environmental sustainability and relentless effort in ecological conservation.
