Novatek Holds 2nd Supply Chain Sustainability Forum: Partnering with Suppliers Toward Supply Chain Carbon Neutrality

Sustainability

Novatek Microelectronics Corp. recently held its 2nd Supply Chain Sustainability Forum. Through two expert presentations, the event aimed to enhance the supply chain’s understanding of sustainability issues and its capacity to manage related risks, while deepening partnerships with suppliers. The company declared a shift in how it views suppliers — from being regarded as an “external cost” to being recognized as “sustainable value partners.” It will advance supply chain carbon neutrality in stages using contracts, platforms, quantified targets, and concrete emissions-reduction actions. A total of 26 supplier partners, comprising 88 participants, attended the forum.

Novatek has incorporated sustainability development clauses into supplier contracts and is promoting verified product carbon footprints and a platform-based approach to supply chain management to strengthen transparency and execution. It has also set green operational targets: an annual electricity savings rate of at least 1% compared with the previous year, and zero production interruption days due to water restrictions. During the forum, the “ESG Outstanding Supply Chain Award” was presented to ASE Kaohsiung and Nanmao Technology for their contributions to ESG collaboration, including ISO 14067 carbon footprint verification, circular economy initiatives, and CDP carbon disclosure. Novatek looks forward to working with the awardees and more suppliers to jointly advance toward a lower-carbon and more resilient industry ecosystem.
