Novatek Microelectronics has long been committed to environmental sustainability and ecological conservation, consistently taking concrete actions to support the protection of Taiwan’s critical natural assets. As a nationally designated core conservation area, Yushan National Park has continuously advanced sustainable mountain and forest management and nature conservation through trail maintenance, environmental monitoring, and mountaineering safety management, while also integrating resources from the private sector and civil society.

Since 2007, Novatek has participated in the Yushan National Park Trail Adoption Program, contributing NTD 500,000 annually toward trail maintenance. Over nearly two decades of sustained engagement, total contributions have reached NTD 10 million. Through this long-term and consistent support, Novatek has established a strong partnership with Yushan National Park and actively contributes to the following key initiatives:

• Enhancement of trail infrastructure: Improving trail quality and user safety
• Environmental stewardship: Promoting mountain cleanup initiatives to preserve alpine landscapes
• Strengthening hiking safety: Supporting the development of a safe and accessible mountaineering environment
• Advancing environmental education: Participating in ecological conservation outreach and sustainability awareness programs

Through these efforts, Novatek not only supports the development of national park trail infrastructure but also contributes to maintaining the overall quality of mountainous ecosystems. As of 2025, these initiatives have helped safeguard the safety and hiking experience of approximately 772,880 visitors from around the world.

Looking ahead, Novatek will continue its commitment in 2026 by further investing in trail adoption, environmental protection initiatives, and conservation and awareness programs for the Formosan black bear. In collaboration with government agencies and stakeholders, the Company aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation and sustainable management practices. Through these actions, Novatek demonstrates its commitment to Environmental (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) responsibilities, helping to preserve Taiwan’s invaluable and irreplaceable mountain ecosystems for future generations.
